Glen Alden Brown November 2, 1934 - December 6, 2019

Glen Alden Brown, 85 of Forsyth, passed away December 6, 2019, in Branson, Missouri. A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 10, 2019. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M in the Kissee-Schofield-Eakins Funeral Home Forsyth, MO, with Pastors Jim Harringer and Cameron Mund officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 P.M Friday, December 13 in the Levelland Cemetery, Levelland, TX.

Glen Alden Brown was born Friday, November 2, 1934, in Long Valley, MO to Glen Porter and Claire Josephine (Compton) Brown. He attended school in Houston Missouri and later finished his education in the U.S. Air Force. He was stationed at a radar site above Dawson Creek. Glen was a hard-working man his whole life, working on the family farm, then at the age of 17 he went to harvest and ended up in Oregon working in the orchards. He returned home after the season and joined the U.S. Air Force where he served for four years. After his military service, he moved back to the farm. He then went to work for the Bendix Corporation located in Kansas City Missouri until 1970. Glen met Arlene Virginia Jesse and were married on May 25, 1958, they had two sons. In May of 1959, Dale Alden was born then in August of 1960, Dean Edward was born and the family was complete.

Glen loved to do many things, his hobbies included fishing, hunting, camping, playing cards and spending time with family. Glen was a jokester. Telling “blonde jokes” was his specialty. He always had a kiss for the girls (Hershey Kiss).

Glen is survived by his children, Dale Brown and wife, Jeanie of Levelland, TX, Dean Brown and wife, Holly of Rockaway Beach, MO; five grandchildren, William and wife Holly, Gretchen Lancaster and husband, Josh, Braxton, Nolan and Jessica; three great-grandchildren, Aurora, Zelda and Eli; two sisters, Edith Frey of Huggins MO. and Mary Jesse of Payola, KS; one brother, Roy Brown and wife, Carrie of Arnold, MO; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends

Glen is preceded in death by his parents; the love of his life for fifty-four years, wife, Arlene; siblings, Jerry Brown and wife, Phyllis, Joe Brown and wife, Claudine, Betty Smith and husband, Glen, Blanch Brown, Carl Jesse and Raymond Frey.

Glen’s last Blonde Joke.

“Why did the blonde have lipstick on her forehead?”

(Answer) “She was trying to make up her mind.”
