Dorothy H. Korzin January 7, 1921 - September 7, 2019

Dorothy H. Korzin, 98, of Kissee Mills, died Saturday, September 7, 2019, in the Forsyth Nursing and Rehab Center. Services will be private.

Dorothy Harriet Korzin was born Friday, January 7, 1921, in Syracuse, NY to Guy and Margaret (Brubeck) Malone. She attended school in North Syracuse and graduated from the North Syracuse High school with the class of 1939. Dorothy worked as a waitress for most of her life living in various states. While in Chicago, she met Walter Korzin. They were married January 18, 1981, in Marco Island, Florida. Walter retired in 1981 when the family moved to Florida. Dorothy and Walter moved to Kissee Mill in 1998. Walter died in 2009.

Dorothy had a passion for life and enjoyed it fully. She enjoyed playing the piano, going on cruises, playing bridge, ceramics, china painting, knitting, and embroidery. She also enjoyed the Branson shows. Dorothy was a kind and generous lady that was good with money and took pride in her appearance. She had a great sense of humor and was a great storyteller. She especially loved spending time with her family. Dorothy was a member of the Forsyth First Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, Gary Wallace and wife, Judy of Marysville, OH; one daughter, Diana Militell and husband, Melvin of Plainfield, IL; five grandchildren, Timothy and Jeffery Wallace, Tracy and John Militell, Leann Mueller and nine great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter Korzin; one son, Mark Ghebelian; one daughter, Lisa Ghebelian; two brothers, Richard and Lawrence Malone.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Kissee-Schofield-Eakins Funeral Home, Forsyth, MO.
