Edward “Ed” Nolin Jr April 9, 1939 - September 25, 2019

Mr. Edward “Ed” Nolin Jr, 80 of Forsyth, MO, died Wednesday, September 25, 2019, in Branson, MO. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 A.M. Saturday, September 28, 2019, in the Forsyth Christian Church with Pastor Rick Fennell officiating. Burial will be at a later date with full military honors in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield.

Edward Donald Nolin Jr. was born Sunday, April 9, 1939 in Haverhill, MA to Edward Sr. and Helen (Cunningham) Nolin. Shortly after finishing school, Ed enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1957 and worked as a Cryptologic Linguist. While serving in the Air Force, Ed met Muriel LeBlanc and they were married in 1959 in Savannah, GA. After serving twenty years in the service, and serving in Vietnam, Ed retired in 1977 with the rank of TSgt. After his retirement, Ed and his family moved to Orlando, Fl where he went to work as a Food Purchaser for Disney World and retired again in 2002 after twenty-five years with Disney World. He and Muriel moved to Forsyth, MO. In 2005.

Ed was softhearted, kind, gentle, and non-confrontational. He was a good listener and teacher. He enjoyed astronomy, science and was a history buff. He also enjoyed cooking and fishing but most of all enjoyed dancing with Muriel. He was a member of the Forsyth Christian Church.

Ed is survived by his wife, Muriel Nolin of Forsyth; two sons, Wayne Nolin of Chester, VA, Mark Nolin of Petersburg, VA; two daughters, Donna Bassett of Rockaway Beach, MO, Bonnie Greene and husband, Robert of Chesterfield, VA; two sisters, Nancy Leveille of NH, and Faith Ann Jendrick of Haverhill, MA; fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Penny Leeann Nolin; one brother, Robert Nolin and son-in-law, Bill Bassett.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Kissee-Schofield-Eakins Funeral Home, Forsyth, MO.
